Thai director in for Singapore-backed rom-com


October 27, 2008 Thai director Ekachai Uekrongtham will helm a romantic comedy tentatively titled "The Wedding of the Year" backed by Singaporean movie producers MediaCorp. However, as the story unfolds, what goes on behind the camera seems to differ from what the public witnesses. The producers, who are looking at collaborating with a Malaysian investor for the regional project, are in talks with Christopher Lee and Fann Wong to join the cast.
