Sony Pics Asia inks Mega deal
November 12, 2008 Sony Pictures Entertainment Networks Asia on Wednesday announced a deal with Korea Telecom's IPTV platform Mega TV to distribute its AXN and Animax Korea channels beginning Monday. Animax Korea, the Japanese animation channel, was a joint venture established in July 2006 between Korea's SkyLife and Sony Pictures Entertainment. AXN, which broadcasts U.S. shows including "CSI" and "24" as well as original productions such as "Amazing Race Asia," has been distributed by the SkyLife direct-to-home platform in Korea since July 2007.
