Discovery series set to explode
November 20, 2008 "The Detonators," a co-production of RDF USA and IWC, an RDF-owned company in Scotland, will follow two explosives experts, Braden Lusk and Paul Worsey as they meet the blasters behind such structures as urban skyscrapers, massive steel bridges and giant stadiums and give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the demolitions. The hourlong series, which premieres in January, is executive produced by Beth Dietrich for Discovery, Charles Tremayne for RDF USA and Rachel Bell for IWC. Each episode will focus on two detonations that have something in common; for example, the Harbor Bridge in Corpus Christi, Texas, and a set of giant cranes in Liverpool, England -- all made of steel.
